I’m Freddy Zalta — a Brooklyn boy, still. I grew up in Brooklyn, and I never really left, not in the ways that count.
By day I work in Enterprise sales at B&H Photo Video. By night — and early mornings, and lunch hours — I write. This blog, Poetry, Love and Coffee, is a cocktail of a life in progress: nostalgic prose, flash fiction, and small true stories about New York City, memory, getting older, and the strangers who become characters on the F train.
I’m the author of Owned No More: The Life of a Salesman, and through F Train Promotions I help other people turn their memories into legacy — writing biographies, memoirs, and life stories for families who want their stories told right.
I’ve been married since 1998. We have five children and a growing crew of grandchildren. I love Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, the Mets (even now), 1010 WINS, and the Jersey Shore.
Pull up a chair. The coffee’s on.
